The scary thing is that we still don't know how fast those cars can really be. Yeah, we've all got a pretty good idea, but what happens when one of those cars is back-halved and they can really lean on them in the first 100 feet of the racetrack? I have no idea what the 1st gear ratio is in those C2 transmissions, but all those cars look pretty lazy leaving the starting line in comparison to, say, Armstrong's Vette or Percy's Savoy.
One more thing: you think they've got the throttle blade all the way open? I don't...

I didn't add in the 170 lbs. for the driver (3170), so our math is basically the same. I have heard that they run the throttle blades only 56% open. Wow!!
