Jeff,

You do make a good point. I am still leaning towards the broken promises which I would lay odds that it is along the lines of class dominance by these cars. If you are right that it is heated due to the number of classes it could also be resistance to, dare I say it, crate motor classes. Because that is what these are basically, crate motors.
