I use to use a 1970 or so Ford Maverick throttle cable and gas pedal assembly-- pedal will bolt to the firewall -works real well flexible AND it has both a tab to fasten the cable to an L bracket as well as a built in return spring---also has a snap on end to fasten to a ball stud on the carb arm---Comp 387
