Nope, I don't modify anything. And the Comp gear in the car has been in the car for at least 3 years. We carry a spare, but have never used it.

If you're convinced that you're never going to need 3 RPM limiters, then don't buy the 7 AL-3.

We've got the same Moroso 40 series wires on the car we've had on for 2-3 years. MSD wires would be fine as well.
