This is the combo I was going putting in my new BIW CJ. This motor is not a cheap motor to build. You must use a $700 new throttle body, $700 new intake, and $2300 new factory cylinder heads. That puts you just under $ 4000 for the top haft. I don’t think you can build a full blown 281ci race ready motor for under $8500. Why would you build a 281ci for $8000 to $9000 to run K/SA. When you can build a new 428ci for $12000 to $13000 and run A/SA.

These cars are not as easy and cheap to clone as everyone thinks. You better plan on spending $30000 plus after you buy a car. I’m well over $40,000 on my car right now and still need $6000 to $10000 to finish it.
