Chip, considering he ran, or was given credit for running Gateway, no I wouldn't expect him to be completely overwhelmed by an LODRS race, it's not like he's never seen one, or a National Event, for that matter. And Jay Hullinger was actually running the event, or so we were told.
I never said he should be fired, I said my first impression of him was not good at all considering he's supposed to be something of a whiz at sales and promotion as well as a decent manager. If I was the only person who thought that, I'd keep my mouth shut and figure I was wrong. But a couple of dozen people, give or take, said exactly the same thing, so it wasn't JUST me.
I'm perfectly willing to see what he does from here, and I've already said I'm quite prepared to change my opinion and say so publicly. If he does a good job and we see real improvements, I'll be the first guy to stand up and give him credit publicly, and I'll be the first to back him up.
