Default Re: S/SS combo @ BIR 2011

Thanks Glen for everything you've done so far to keep class racing going. My health & heart aren't in it like they used to be, or we'd try to be even more supportive. Pretty much down to the GOOD driver doing all the racing. Unless of course we want to let Mike Casteel drive one of our other Superstockers. Mike you see, bought my old '65 Chevelle Superstocker and drove it successfully for years as a bracket car. Due to an unfortunate fire which destroyed last years ride, he will be driving the Chevelle again in brackets. But Mike is not foreign to Stock/Superstock. A few years ago, he drove my '64 Chevelle Wagon (the red one) to a win at one of the Stock/Superstock combo races at Interstate. So Mike sort of understands the S/SS thing.

On the other hand Mike, it doesn't make much sense for Todd to bracket race his Nova through the lights at 9000 rpm on a regular basis for several reasons: 1. Budget. 2. Fragile parts, not bulletproof parts like you'd build a bracket engine. 3. I don't have the time to fix it if it breaks. Some stockers are often bracket raced as ours are, but the Superstockers are a little too fragile and/or expensive to beat on like that on a regular basis.
