Default Re: Apology

We are all adults on this board, and as such, all have our personal ideas and preferences as to how we spend our time.

Case in point; if I am watching TV (an elective choice, as is this BB activity) and a program comes on that I don't want to spend my time watching, I turn it off, change the channel, or leave the room, if others are watching.

The choice is mine. I'm not forcing MY opinion on anyone else; it's just MY opinion of how ~I~, alone, want to spend MY time. Anyone can exercise that option. Anyone.

In a similar way, if I encounter a BB "feud" that gets what ~I~ would consider "out of hand" and reverts to name-calling and other such time-wasting B.S., I don't read any more of it, if it bores, or offends me... I just "change the channel" and go to the next unread post.

I don't see why some people find it necessary to censor, or delete posts that THEY find offensive, when it's so easy to avoid wasting the reader's time by just clicking on the next post. Nobody puts a gun to my head and makes me read this stuff.

But, that's just me.... It's no big thing with me, this censorship and deleting of posts, but it would seem both undesirble and unnecessary, since the "offending" posts are so easy to avoid.

Obviously, some people find that there is plenty of justification for imposing THEIR standards on others, by censorship, or supporting the idea of censorship.

I just don't see it...

"Change the channel..." end of problem.... and you've not imposed ANYthing on ANYbody.
