Default Re: Trailer towing ?

Ed,
My thoughts(for what it's worth), on your subject is the same as I was told regarding how I purchased my truck. I have an F-350. I could have an F-250 with the same motor and trans and axle ratio and pull the same trailer of 10,000lbs. The difference is IF I am involved in an accident(not pulled over and checked), one where someone else runs a red light and hits me they are at fault, right? Only if my truck is the F-350 with the sticker in the door that says I can tow 11,500lbs. If I have the F-250 that says I can tow 8,500lbs the accident becomes my fault.

Insert the fact that you have passenger tires on your trailer and it may become your fault in an accident, I don't think the cops want to get that picky in just a stop and write you up.

I do agree with you though, I am going to have what is best for the situation.

Good luck with the new motor, I want to see you out whipping some new car butts.

Just my thoughts.
