Naturally, the tire is just one part of it. The rest of the car/suspension needs to be good as well as individual track prep. But I've been VERY happy with my 9" Hoosier lightweight radials on 10" rims also for many years. No problems at Budds Creek, MD in 90*-100* heat a few weeks ago.
