It was only $7.99 a gallon, I bought 15 gallons. I was buying it from the Auto Parts store cause it was easy, but now there really ripping me off, so im buying the 112 blue for now on, that is if it runs OK in the car. Has anyone tried the 112 Blue ?

Mark, Sunoco blue runs fine, we switched from VP C-12, since C-12 got absurdly expensive, and would regularly fail fuel check right out of the new drum on the VP trailer at the race track.
While "extra octane" may in fact be "wasted", the HP effect people see, if they properly jet for changes in the specific gravity of their new fuel, is due to the burn rate, not due to octane. The various fuels have fairly widely varying burn rates. For example, some engines with only 12.2 to 1 compression ratio may see a HP gain by switching from C-12 to C-14+ or C-25, simply because the burn rate in the other fuels is what "makes their engine happy". You would not think that would happen, given the accepted theory that "extra octane is wasted", since C-14+ is rated for 14 to 1 compression, and C-25 is rated for 15 to 1, as well as high RPM (for Comp eliminator and Pro Stock). But it does.
