Re: Support your local Combo/Association races!!
I will never sacrifice my safety and my race car to make a run down a unsafe track due to lack of preparation by the track ."" The track decision makers require me to have the latest safety equipment and now I am requiring the track to have the latest equipment to make a safe track it goes both ways""
I have the habit of looking over the track before I run , silly me as an example the last test and tune at Vegas I paid $100 to test , so we get there early to look over track we actually got there before the track personnel , they did absolutely nothing to the track turned on the tree and put water in the burn out box ,that is it they only had two workers on the line the starter and the person putting the water in the box ??? . I can tell when the track has been prepped all the way so don't tell me the track is prepped when I know it was not , don't tell me track is prepped when only the first 30 to 40 feet has glue on it we know so prep the track the racers will come , don't prep the track then no one will show up to race
fyi a car who leaves soft off the line is not a test for good track prep example super comp, not sure why they even do a burn out example a low hp clutch car can slip the clutch to get down the track example a low hp bracket car can get off the line, but a high Hp car example Stocker, Super Stocker, Comp car or car who need to dead hook will spin . of course there are ways to get the car down the track by adjustment but they are only a band aid for a bad track prep
