U/SA nothing close by
What I also don't get Ron, is why Southwestern International Raceway didn't schedule their NJ race a weekend earlier (Mar. 16-17, or 17-18)? That's a good time of year to run a race, and it would've allowed those class racers in my state (and perhaps neighboring states as well), to run Pro-Am's at that race as they'd prepare for the NHRA divisional & national events the following weekends? It could've been a win/win for the track, and IHRA's efforts to woo the western racers their way too! Furthermore, nothing is going on that 3rd wknd of March, so it would've been perfect....even if the San Antonio race was moved up to March 23-24, there's no NHRA races scheduled that weekend in that region of the country, and it would've been the weekend following the Jegs Cajun Sports Nationals, so racers in La., and Tx., could've ran that race, then made the tow to San Antionio, for another race to fill the space between the Jegs race and the 'Vegas races (the following weekends), where they'd meet with the NHRA D7 & D5 traveling racers who might've ran the S.I.R. race as they'd prepare for 'Vegas....I don't get it....
