Don't have a stocker, however I believe that spring pressure is all about control. You run enough to control the valve and valve train, running too little pressure seems to cause damage, locks,retainers, even lifters. While running too much would seem to create it's own set of problems, though in my opinion not as problematic. These are just my thoughts gained from observation.I'm sure there are a few knowledgable folks on here that will share their experience. Joe
