Seems like the IHRA method makes a lot more sense than tearing down *between* qualifying and eliminations. I know one time we discovered an issue in teardown that picked the car up significantly. I think it's easier and more sensible... don't see how it complicates things at all.
I've set numerous records, so it's not for the piece of paper anymore. We don't get Record points anymore, so the only incentive for me is to get a pic of the car in the magazine for my sponsors... and one record I set the mag said "photo not available". Really? Like there's no photos of the Volare on file!
