Jeff how about 3550 for the SC mustang and 3100 for the 428 and 3000 for the 352 just to make it fair

Does that mean all the slower DP cars that couldn't hang with Barton get a break too? If Barton builds a Ford, he might just be quicker than the other Fords. I think this gets back to working a combo. I would hope that they all race and then adjust as needed.
Barton pushed the Carp car to the limit instead of *****footing around with it. Maybe if some more Ford guys pushed their stuff and flogged it like he did, it would be closer. Is there anyone with a Ford willing and able to do that? Are the other DP guys willing to go after them? I think the answer will be yes to both, but time will tell. If a racer bought one of the new cars thinking they wouldn't have to beat on it to be competitive, this is clearly not the class to be in. That's ok, too. Just a choice. I know they are a ton of $$$. I don't have one either.
I think if Barton and Carp show up, they are the standard for now and something to shoot for.
I think that is pretty cool. There are plenty of good cars and racers out there within reach if they chose to work hard enough and race hard enough to try and beat him.
I really think that is what will make this class attractive to other racers and fans alike.
Racers with the new cars will duke it out and we will see some cars pushed and raced hard instead of clicking them early and jacking around. It can be a very exciting race platform for all.
I would hope that some races take place before any real changes occur with factoring. It is hard to determine what is real with all the games that were played at NHRA.
The ADRL deal may actually reveal the true potential of these cars. I think it will be a great start to highlight class racing and the new cars!
The positive press for a sportsman performance class can help us all if it is supported by other racers and fans.
