It was an easy test. If the idle adjustment screws had to be all the way in to get the C.O. (Sun 4 Gas Infrared exhaust analyzer) close to where it belonged, those were leaking. Just like Holley power valves or QJet metering well plugs.
I understand Ed. Plastic Welding is a much better fix now for race carbs. The were originally epoxied in order to be removable for cleaning out the primary jet fuel well. Replacement pieces are available still. Jim
