I know, Im ready for the beating so bring it on......LMAO
Joe. That post was not a response to you.

If you want to know how Chevrolet forced Mopar to submit the V-10 with a PowerGlide, I suggest you ask "Pentastar340", AKA Leonard Johnson, who apparently owns "Drag Pack #106". He is the one who is making that absurd claim.

The best guess is maybe the guys at Chrysler figured the V-10 could make enough torque and HP to pull a PowerGlide, and they wanted a good strong lightweight 2 speed.

Hey, maybe NHRA will let you have a TH 350! It fits right in where a PowerGlide does, all you need is to get someone to make you a case with the bellhousing for a V-10.

Funny how a guy with a 283 in a 67 Chevelle can go fast enough with a PowerGlide to set a record, but guys with a 512 V-10 can't make a PowerGlide run for them. Go figure.
