Default Re: New Thunderbolt at Cedar Falls

Looks like an F intake. Wonder if it would run faster not using the air box and running the zip tubes right into the carbs.

Re build numbers. Factory records indicate 50 1964 Lightweight Galaxies, 25 auto and 25 4 speed.

On the 1964 Thunderbolt there were 100 units, 59 automatics and 41 4 speeds. I've heard individuals claim 111 and 127. To date all 1964 T-Bolts mentioned in back in day day publications such as National Dragster, magazines, or NHRA Entry Lists fall in the envelope of the 100 units from the factory delivery lists. Likewise, with owners, drivers, and mechanics known to date from 1964 that were involved with them, along with original cars still in existence today. If there is an original T-Bolt outside this envelope, I'd certainly like to hear about it.

Any other technical details available on this car? Engine, header tube length diam, gearing, vehicle weight, etc ... . Nice car!

Regards,
Dennis
