Default Re: 1968 dart for ss

Jared: The 340 around 280 in SS last time I looked........It is 293 in stock
and still Fast.

The carb is same size Carter on 340 and 383 as I recall.

NHRA changed spec on X heads a while back to 167 after a bunch
of fighting which is a decent number for small block mopar heads.

The main reason I run the stock legal engine in Super Stock rather than
a ever build a real SS engine is that is very difficult to find a cylinder head
builder for SS out west. My friends that do my stock stuff are not very
interested. I left a set at a well know Head Place and he left them on the
Shelf for two years.

When I run the 340 Stocker in SS......it run slightly under to SS index and
and I think it would sure pick up in SS trim.

I agree that all three are good combinations!

Jared: I hope you Legendary Grandfather is doing well
He has always been a Hero of mine since the 1960s!!
