Default Ken Keir Racecars wheelie bar testing

After putting the car nearly on the bumper in February, I reached out to Ken to see what he offered. My main goal was to give myself a margin for error on shock and travel settings as well as provide a measure of peace of mind. I was impressed with Ken, his customer service and his knowledge of small tire, leaf spring cars and placed an order for one of his bars. It's a very nicely built piece.

It's 100% completely bolt-on, stock legal and you can install it in a couple of hours. Check out his website for some pictures.

I took the car to Holly Springs last weekend. The air was pretty good and the bite was even better. Right off the trailer, with the front shocks set at 10 clicks from full stiff rebound, the car still came up very agressively and I'm very pleased to say the bar did it's job. I felt totally at ease, no worries about the car going bumper and when the car hit the bar the only thing that I could feel was the car quit going up and I was able to ride it out. This allowed me the margin for error I was looking for so I could sneak up on the shock and travel settings. After tighting up the shocks another 7 clicks and pulling out 3/4" of travel I was in business.

In this video you can see the car ride the bar just past the tree

Later in the day as I tightend up the shocks and travel I was able to calm the launch.
