I have some older friends who were over in Viet Nam, one of the Army passed from cancer a few years back, and were always mystified why teachers got Veterans Day off and they had to work. Maybe the schools should schedule trips to local cemeteries to tidy up soldiers grave sites instead of taking a day off.

Don't forget the current soldiers and buy 'em lunch when you see them out, they risk their lives and and don't get Congress' royal pensions either.
