Well in Indy 1987 I went toOlds & asked if I could get a car, since I had been driving Paul Rossi FWD Dodges for 4 yrs, they sadi YES If youll take a FWD OLDS.
So we did it was the delta 88 we ran till 92 when Olds asked if I wanted this car. I drove it & our son Tony drove the "88".
I ran it with a engine factory computer till fter the 92 Gators, I could onlyget it torun 2/10 under, they said we cannt give u much more help on the computer BUT if u go to John Meanly at DFI his would b the answer. I think we were the 1st stocker to run a DFI computer and it went 8/10 under 2nd time out.
Ran the car till OLDS got out of drag racing after 96 , then Pontiac offered us a v-6 3800 Firebird.
Keep the Toronado just in case, sold the firebird after the 2000 Indy nts. & ran it again till we quit in 04.
