Rob,

That's an excellent E.T.

Here are the 1966 National Records, when the 66' Valiant 273/180 HP
would have been classed in I/S or I/SA (15.00 - 15.59 Wt/Hp)

I/S.........14.28 @ 96.35 MPH..........1956 Chevrolet
I/SA......14.78 @ 93.94 MPH...........1958 Chevrolet

Those 'Cheating Bastards'.....

Never could quite figure out the (+55) Horsepower difference between
the 273/235 HP 'Commando' and the 273/180 HP.

Piston Compression
Camshaft
Valve Springs
Intake
Carburetor
Dual-Point Distributor

Always thought the 273/235 HP was 'over-rated' by the 'Factory Rating', even though we ran a bunch of them.

Much closer to 215 to 220 Horsepower, that the NHRA finally recognized.
