Re: ?? About Divisional Races
IHRA Pro-Am events typically give two qualifying runs on Saturday, a Combo or bracket race Saturday night, and then eliminations on Sunday. Alternatively, at a double-header weekend, you'd get two qualifying runs on Saturday and run eliminations to completion Saturday night, then one qualifying run on Sunday and run eliminations of a second race to completion. Pro-Am tracks are always open Friday night for those wishing to come in early for additional runs.
I never understood having to be at a track for three days to run a Divisional race. The last time I ran an NHRA Divisional at Numidia, I made two qualifying runs on Friday, raced at Beaver Springs Friday night, made two qualifying runs on Saturday at Numidia, changed converters and raced at Beaver Springs Saturday night, got busted 1st round at Numidia on Sunday, and raced at Beaver Springs later that day!
IHRA provides a good bang for the buck, in my opinion.
