We were turning 7800 with the 427 at Bowling Green this weekend, with 255 on the seat, and 600 open. We have too much open right now, I need to change springs.

What will hurt ceramic lifters is low spring pressure, resulting in a loss of valvetrain control. They do not like to bounce, whether it is on the ramp, or over the nose (commonly called "lofting") and that is where you'll see them break.
