Oops, my bad. Actually the 300 hp engine is NHRA HP 314 with a flat hood on a 69 camaro and 315 with a cowl hood in SS. Flat hood 314 is a natural SS/I car but can run either H or J. The cowl hood rated at 315 makes it a nautral H car and the car then can go down to G at 3005 lbs.

The 255/290 HP combo is a natural SS/I (3070lbs)combo and can run J at 3360lbs or H at a very light wt of 2930 lbs. There is no difference in HP for the cowl hood for this engine combo.

SS/I,H,G require a license and a certifed cage. J does not require either.
