Re: Live from Maple Grove - NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Good morning gang - I just am having a hard time with this weather as here it is Memorial Day weekend and I could write that there is 'frost on the pumpkin' .Last night it again was cold and usually we'd hear generators running air conditioning systems but only furnaces ran because of the 40 degree temps .
This morning the Sun is shining brite and in a few hours we'll finally get started with elims and thank God it is supposed to warm up a bit today .At this moment its 59 degrees with 44% humidity and a 29.50 barometer with a final DA of just over 1000 feet .
SuperStock did finally get their second Q shot last but for some reason most were slow by 5 or 6 and on top of that about half way through there was a big Hemi explosion in the lights and after working on the track for 45 minutes they decided to finish with just one lane running .But at least they got to finish .
After that it was a run by the Jet followed by fireworks and most were too cold and tired ( including this reporter ) to do anything else .So much for Holiday Bar-b-ques .
Later with more ...........
