I ran my brake lines outside the frame rails too. Some uni-body cars(early Mustangs) had the brake lines routed in the driveshaft tunnel directly along side the driveshaft.In the event of a driveshaft or u-joint failure I can't think of anything that would make it more fun than bursting into flames and then not being able to stop.
