YOU will like this combination.
The 327/250 has the small Power Pack Heads. (Rectangle with a small Pyramid on top.)
They flow well for very small valves. Think the 520(corrected from FED387 info) is the better head.
You will most likely have a WCFB Carter, some got the Rochester 4GC.
I liked the WCFB better. Cams are small. Not much lift.
Think the xx929 cam was .390 in/ 410 ex. but all the base 327's were around that lift.

The 62 Vette also had the larger valve 340hp and 360hp. Think those cams were bigger.
Then again the NHRA Engine specs have all the goodies.

Ran a 1964 Impala SS 4sp in 1973 in Stock and with 205,000 miles on the odometer AND when Stock was still PURE
Got close to running the national record on cold days.
The engine was easy to tune and run consistently even with a stick.
Car had a Munchie M20 Close Ratio 4sp..Muncie is the correct spelling.

It is a good combination in both Pure Stock and Stock.
NHRA properly factored the 62/62 327/250 engine over the later and more powerful 65 327/250.
May want to consider Pure Stock to avoid adding a Roll Bar and keeping it closer to street worthy.
