Re: Autolite AR3932 spark plug
You are going to essentially end up making a side gap plug out of it----cut the ground wire off a little at a time by hand with a hack saw until you come close to your desired gap then file off the burrs on the wire to achive your final desired gap make sure you end up with a ground wire that is flat on all 4 sides otherwise it will throw off your plug gap--- try it with a junk plug so you can get good at it-- V-8 engine probably take you about an hour first time to do a set ---just do one plug the whole process at a time don't try to do part of the process ie. cut all 8 then go back and file all 8 etc.--ONE WORD OF ADVICE ---PUT THE PLUG IN A VISE WHILE YOU ARE CUTTING AND FILING---much easier to hold and the results will be much better
when you have finished the electrode will be pointing straight out and the ground wire will be arched slightly towards the wire and you measure the gap sorta of on a diagonal vertical plane instead of on a horizontal plane as you would normally do
index THIS plug same as you would a "normal" plug ----sounds kinda hokey but it does work--FED387
