Default Re: Historic Drag Race cars East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fa

Haven't been on the site in several days and while taking a break down in the shop signed on. Just in the first few pages I saw so many notices of passing of members of our drag racing family. So many stories of the times with the lost members. Every year at the reunion you get to renew so many old friendships but at the same time you talk about days with people who have passed on since the beginning of the East Coast Drag Times Reunion. This whole event started with a small group of drag racing friends getting together after so many years and having a cookout. The discussion was, at the end of the day, to have a reunion like that every year. Nancy Wilson took that weekend and built something from it. At the reunion this year, there will be members of that first group, Ronnie Sox and Billy West, who will not be there except in memories. This year there are many who will not be returning that have passed on or are in extremely poor health. To many of us the memories of friends, people that we met and cars that we remember are what will be left to the next generation in Drag Racing. If you have an opportunity, visit Henderson, NC, during the Drag Race Reunion, you will be away from the work of the race track, visit with old friends, listen to the stories, share your stories, bring your family and friends and share with them the days when the cars that are on display downtown were on the race track.

To every family and friends who have lost loved ones recently and have posts on here, our sincere condolences and prayers from all of us at Chris 3 Racing.
