I raced my local track for a season, went to Gainesville for the bracket finals, won that race and then I went as a guest of the Summit Racing Series to race at Pomona. What's the difference? I didn't pay to race at Pomona, I was a guest from another series. The same probably happened at Maple Grove just on a local level.
Maple Grove is well known to have a great bracket series with better then average payouts at the end of the year. The racers got a perk, good for them.
It's still Maple Grove and they can use their track any way they want to. If it helps them to keep their customers coming back to their door, by offering 16 local racers to race at a NHRA natinal event, all the more power to them.
