Yeah, same ol' story.
The way I understand how the scam works is like this:

They add a little extra for shipping, send a cashier's check and then when the shipping guy shows up ( within 48 hours), you give the shipper cash for shipping and load the car.

A few days later you learn the cashier's check was bogus.

The "shipper" was his scam buddy as well.
