If the cams are the same now and the only differences that come to mind are no electric water pump, mufflers, and other very small differences why keep Pure Stock? Doesn't make sense to build or have one other than the "softer" indexes and if you're close to an IHRA track. Boy, those indexes should be able to be killed now! Maybe IHRA's way of moving a step closer to phasing the class out?

Also, and I'd have to check my current Nitro Joe stats, but how many people are actually running Pure Stock now? 10? 12? Why make such a major rule change for just a small amount of racers? I don't get it.
