Re: Prayers for Alex Denysenko
Merry Christmas everyone - our blessings and yuletides are coming from room 207 at St. Anthony's. Alex is in as good of spirits as nasty hospital food disguised as Christmas dinner can muster.
Our neurologist confirmed a seizure which oddly is good news. With medication they can be prevented in the future. They are very common after stroke, the brain just has these haywire storms every once and again after such a trauma. We are so very fortunate it happened with I (or someone) with him and able to help him get through it and get to the hospital. We were just leaving town to head to my folks, with a carload full of presents, a fresh turkey, and two german shepherds who were very good and didn't bite the EMTs when they took their daddy from the car while their mommy finally broke down.
Hopefully this will be our first and last: 1) seizure 2) Christmas in a hospital 3) Christmas away from family. But your kinds words and prayers are helping us make it through, we cannot thank you enough!
