Default Re: Six cylinder Super Stockers???

Eric, I forgot the AMC's had a 2 bbl. I used to have a Jeep J-10 with a 258 2bbl. and a 4 speed granny in the floor. Had a CJ with a 304 3 speed, and a Commando 304 with an automatic, all three got 12 mpg lol. The 77 258 is factory rated at 114, NHRA rated at 160hp. That seems pretty steep to me. shipping weight on the Gremlin is 2753 @ a weight brake of 17.21. I was looking up the Carter BBD and it seems to be flow rated at around 280 CFM. Also I agree with your Son, I enjoy seeing cars in the slower classes. Don Jackson
