Thanks for the feedback everyone! The debate for us was between doing a third gear burnout compared to the 2-3 shift to prolong the lifespan of the trans. I think you've all made it pretty clear the 2-3 option is a viable one and likely what we'll go with.
Jeff, the trans is an A/MP Torqueflite configuration.
