Default Re: Pure Stockers at Class Nationals

Wow back from a long drive getting ready for bed.
Driving back home the Sun was at my back.
Appalachia vistas were beautiful.

Qualifying..I was way down on the list.
A U/SA mid 70's Seville ran more than 2 seconds under.
Most were one second under.
I was a half second and qualified in the 90s of some 120 cars.

Went 2 rounds Friday, 4 Saturday and 2 Sunday.
One more tap on the brakes would have made another lap.

10 Pure Stockers showed up. Think 5 ran Sunday that I could see.
The weather was always one cloud away from raining us out.
Lynn Smith was sent home.

Got a great reception and had lots of people coming up to talk.
My Velocity Stack was a fun topic and a lot of people took pictures of my car.
I got pictures of all the Pure Stockers. Will post tomorrow.
In fact got all of us lined up on Friday qualifying.
It was an impressive line up.

The Pure Stock Challenge was a hit.
Think there is going to be a surge of new Pure Stockers coming soon.

It was a lot of work changing tires back and forth.
The Wind tore and broke my Coleman Canopy.
Was hoping to rebuild it but Colemen does not sell parts.
Just collapsed it and trashed it.

Gary Burr bought you a Class Nationals T-Shirt, got one too.
All they had left were Large.

Hope to get more collaboration and email list of all the PS owners.
Maybe promote our own race.

Need to hear ideas from anyone how to promote our band of Pirate Racing.
Harrrr haarrrr.

Least but not last.
A big thanks to Mike Beard for leading this event.
Want to also thank Jim Woods and tech crew.
Everyone who worked the event put one the best drag racing meet I have ever attended.
