Good point Jack and one that I hadn't thought of. Considering staffing needs, couldn't they limit late entries to no more that quota, so that no more than was originally listed would be allowed. That way staffing would be sufficient for the event. Case in point Seattle quota for S/S is 40 and 28 are pre-entered. I know this will probably open a can of worms, but here goes. Couldn't NHRA still require pre-entries, but allow racers to enter late due to plans changing for the racer in question. Maybe I am way off here, but it would help with car counts, possibly.
