My question is why do people wait continually till the deadlines to enter, and then complain when the fields are filled. It appears to me, that those who are upset, wouldn't have made the 128 car qualified fields anyway. The U.S. NATIONALS is the last event where performance counts. This one is not just about bracket racing acumen. INDY is the Daytona, the Masters, the Super Bowl, the NCAA Finals, and the World Series of our sport. I'm always amused at the comments from the posters with no names, who only wish they would've made one more open or divisional so that they could've entered INDY. My suggestion, is that you start planning for next year's event, now.
The quota for Stock was 180 entries long before the Factory Stock Showdown was even thought of; it has been 180 for as long as I remember, and I go to Indy every year.
