Default Re: Combo race at Beacon in Paducah, KY

I am not running the race, Beacon is. I want the race to be a success so we as class racers have another place to race.

Beacon has everything in place to be a very successful track. Easy to get to, less than 5 miles of off exit 11 on I-24. Good parking, pavement and grass, the cars stay very clean. Race procedure is fair, firm, and friendly. Climate controlled and very clean restrooms. Good food fairly priced in the concession area that is also climate controlled and has comfortable seating. The track is family friendly!

Track prep is done with PJ1 it used to be called VHT. The track has a counter rotating four race slick tractor that puts down rubber on the racing surface, plus the conventional tractor that sprays and drags slicks on a weighted sled. The starting line crew is pro active on the bald spots using "Gold Dust" to help maintain the hook.

See you in the lanes!
