If you look at the qualifying list from Vegas, Dave is nearly 9 under with the Nova. Pretty good for the 1st year in the car.

Actually before Dave got into the dragster deal,, he was a accomplished Comp Eliminator racer with some cool and fast 10,000+ rpm small block (under 300 c.i.)
screamers with 5-speed gear boxes in various bodies, so this SS/H adventure hes on right now is nothing new, hes an 'ol stick guy. I love watching that car launch and go through the gears,, but I'm a little partial to it since I had a '66 Chevy II SS with a 331 sbc, 4-speed and 5:57s on a 10.5 tire back in the '70s that was a lot of fun also. Wish I still had it!
