Your post reminds me how we miss your contribution to forums like this, not because I share your point of view here, but because you have a way with words.
It sure was a fun deal at the first go around in 2000, I did not have my A car then, I was racing my G/S car and I traveled with John Shaul and enjoyed the whole deal. There certainly was some beer drank and stories told down in that grassy corner in Norwalk.
My car won't run AA, it is a natural B car, that being said, times have changed and I believe the 10.60 index should be raised to 10.75 or 10.80 for both trans.. Speaking of trans, I think there are no advantages stick to auto in the AA,A,B classes. The Hemi cars Dave mentioned are still extremely close, and they have much better trans than stock in the stick cars
