Default Re: Chevy oil filter adapter

I plug mine off. It saved my engine a couple of times when I used to run Gibbs oil my filter plugged up with the sludge created by that oil and when I fired up my car in the morning it had no oil pressure. If I didn't plug it I would of made a run not knowing it was plugged. You can take a OEM one knock out the valve and use a 1/4 pipe tap and install a 1/4 in pipe plug. Or use one of these.http://www.competitionproducts.com/C.../#.VL0_HuktHDc
