get the vin and run a car fax on it. the powertrain is warranteed for 100k miles. if you want to go as far as bringing the vin to any GM dealership, they can look up any and all warranty repairs and see if there are any recalls on the vehicle. if you want the value of the vehicle go to kbb.com. but would def not buy any vehicle without driving it.
