Kent the 82 is a 2v only. 83-85 is the same carb, a Holley 4180. The aluminum head removes the dedicated casting number for the year your claiming in SS for Fords. So it opens more possibilities on combos. The replacement heads are in no shape or form, bolt on class legal based on CC, runner volumes, and valve sizes for the year being claimed.
