Yes, and that is the problem. Look at 2014 Indy or last week's Gators. They can come in and bomb the sheets and never suffer the consequences like the regular class Stockers. Both at Indy and this years Gators the outcome would not have been different if the AHFS rules were in effect for the FS/X cars .The race winner would still have won and the number one qualifier would still be number one- and BTW - lets not forget that a 'new' car won both events with just good 'ole great driving and performance meant nothing. And since old cars no longer race new ones head-up what would be changed ? Maybe you'd see more 1000' racing but who wants that ..........I know I'm gonna hate myself for posting this but its a slow Friday here in Pennsylvania with plenty of snow falling so a little Internet jousting might help the day pass .Bring it on kids - I've got all afternoon ...............
