The main issue I see is that some FS cars that qualified for Indy last year may not have qualified if AHFS had been in effect for them earlier in the year. So it is likely that the outcome would have been different for some people. Yes, the indexes are lower in these classes now, so that should help, but the AHFS should really be in effect for everyone or no one.
