Also, Microsoft stopped all supporting XP a year ago.
Therefore, by modern protocols, is not secure. It lacks ASLR that prevents vulnerabilities and hacking.
Also, there are no Oracle JAVA updates that work well with XP; therefore, there are many applications and websites that will not work unless you have the latest version of JAVA. This said, it will perform poorly when accessing many sites. Oracle updates JAVA frequently, however, like I said, the new updates are not compatible with XP.
I suggest for anyone that still has XP, to run the disk cleanup feature to see if it helps.
(Right-click, C Drive/ Properties/ Disk cleanup)
Also, the computer may have too many programs and services that are auto-loading and running in the background. Windows XP does not have the capacity anymore to do so and it's one primary reason for complaints of slowness.
